Hopelessly grief-stricken over the death of his friend, Superman travels into the Underworld to bargain with Hades.  Perhaps, he thinks, with the right offering–maybe Jimmy Olsen’s soul–the Batman could rise again.

But he quickly discovers that no bargain is ever as it seems, and the hero he once knew is gone, for the Dark Knight reached into the Void…and something in the Void reached back…
